In-person absentee (early) voting for the August 9, 2016 Partisan Primary Election begins today, Monday, July 25 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5. In-person absentee voting is Monday through Friday only. The state legislature and governor have prohibited in-person absentee voting on the weekends.
In-person absentee voting hours vary in each Milwaukee County municipality. To find the hours in the community where you live contact your municipal clerk listed at: http://county.milwaukee.gov/RelatedLinks23923.htm
Remember, you must have an acceptable form of photo identification to vote.
The following Photo IDs are acceptable for voting purposes: Wisconsin driver license, Photo ID card issued by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, U.S. Passport, U.S. Military ID, Veterans Affairs ID, Certificate of Naturalization, Tribal ID, and most college and university student IDs along with proof of enrollment. The photo ID does not have to show a current address.
